根据外媒GamesIndustry.biz的报道，Microsoft在昨日举行了一场非公开新闻发布会，这场发布会由总裁Brad Smith召开，向大家讲述了其收购Activision Blizzard应该在欧盟听证会上获得批准的论据。其中就包括了PlayStation和Sony在全球的数个市场份额数字，其百分比如下：
- 欧盟：Sony PlayStation 80%、Microsoft Xbox 20%
- 日本：Sony PlayStation 96%、Microsoft Xbox 4%
- 全球：Sony PlayStation约70%、Microsoft Xbox约 30%
根据Brad Smith的说法，这个数据在近20年以来没有太大的变动，他还补充，就算Sony在去年因为供应问题陷入困境，但他们仍然强势地回归了。
Microsoft在这场发布会上竭尽所能地说服各方，包括欧洲联盟委员会（European Commission）他们并不会在收购Activision Blizzard后将市场垄断。基于此，他们为了履行该承诺，还向Nintendo及NVIDIA签下10年合作协议。
We have signed a 10 year agreement with NVIDIA that will allow GeForce NOW players to stream Xbox PC games as well as Activision Blizzard PC titles, including COD, following the acquisition. We´re committed to bringing more games to more people – however they choose to play.
